Women from Chemnitz show their faces

Photo session for the exhibition opening - 23 February 2015, 11:30 am, Galerie Roter Turm

As part of the Chemnitz Peace Day, photos from the Chemnitz project "No war in my name" can be seen in the Roter Turm gallery. From 23 February to 8 March 2015, women from Chemnitz will be making statements about peace, tolerance and humanity on 40 plaques. Media representatives are cordially invited to a photo session.

Katja Uhlemann, Head of Communications, Marketing and Policy Issues / Press Officer of the City of Chemnitz, Pia Hamann, Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Chemnitz, Jörg Knöfel, Centre Manager of Galerie Roter Turm and photographer Karla Mohr will open the exhibition on 23 February at 11:30 am.

The photo project was initiated by Chemnitz photographer Karla Mohr. Since September 2014, she has photographed around 600 women with a peace statement. The concept and idea for the exhibition came from the Communication, Marketing and Policy Department of the City of Chemnitz. The exhibition was supported by the Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Chemnitz.
