Wittgensdorfer Straße carriageway renewal between A4 and Paul-Fischer-Weg
From next Wednesday, 4 October until Sunday, 15 October 2017, roadworks will be carried out in the area of Wittgensdorfer Straße between Paul-Fischer-Weg and the A4 motorway on behalf of the City of Chemnitz Civil Engineering Department.
For this purpose, Wittgensdorfer Straße between Paul-Fischer-Weg and the A4 motorway must be fully closed to traffic during this period. The diversion will be via Wittgensdorfer Straße/Bornaer Straße/Chemnitztalstraße/Untere Hauptstraße/Chemnitzer Straße (Wittgensdorf). Pedestrians will be guided safely past the roadworks.
Access to Paul Fischer Weg from Bornaer Straße via Wittgensdorfer Straße is possible for local residents. Horst-Vieth-Weg and Geschwister-Scholl-Straße can only be accessed by emergency vehicles during the asphalt paving work, which is expected to take place on 10 and 11 October. If the construction site situation allows, special problems for residents, such as individual larger deliveries, can be coordinated and taken into account with the construction company's site management staff between 4 and 9 October.
The total construction costs amount to approx. 110,000 euros. Faber Infra Bau GmbH from Drebach has been commissioned to carry out the construction work.
Public transport will be provided by the temporary replacement stop at the former lung sanatorium, Chemnitzer Straße (Wittgensdorf). Further information is available from CVAG.
