Wittgensdorf outdoor pool extends season by one week
Special events after the outdoor pool season - indoor pools open again from 29 August
Due to the persistently good weather, the season at the Wittgensdorf outdoor pool will be extended by one week until Sunday, 4 September.
The Gablenz outdoor pool will remain open until 4 September. Both pools are open daily from 11 am to 6 pm.
Any further extension will be decided the following week depending on the weather conditions.
The season at Einsiedel outdoor pool will end as planned on Sunday 28 August.
Following the official outdoor pool season, two special events will take place at the Wittgensdorf and Gablenz outdoor pools:
- On Sunday, 11 September, from 1 pm to 4 pm, four-legged friends and their families are invited to the popular paw-swimming event at the Wittgensdorf outdoor pool. Admission per dog is 4 euros, all accompanying persons (max. 5) have free admission.
- On Sunday, 18 September, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Gablenz outdoor pool will host a big model building day for drivable models on water and on land (boats, sailing ships, submarines, excavators, transport vehicles, off-road vehicles, etc.). Admission 1 Euro, modellers with companions have free admission.

The indoor swimming pools of the city of Chemnitz will reopen regularly after the holidays from Monday 29 August:
