Winter service 2019 will be more expensive than planned
The City Council has approved the provision of additional funds for the 2019 winter road clearance service in the amount of €600,000. An annual service agreement is concluded with the City of Chemnitz's waste disposal and city cleaning company (ASR) for the provision of winter services, among other things. According to current invoices, the 2019 budget is expected to be exceeded by this amount.
The reasons for this include the weather conditions in the first quarter of 2019, which made intensive maintenance necessary. This resulted in a higher use of materials than planned and the involvement of external service providers.
