Winter holidays at the zoo and wildlife park

A visit to the zoo and wildlife park is also worthwhile during the cold season. There will also be exciting activities in both facilities during the winter holidays.

From Monday, 10 February, the zoo will once again be organising exciting short tours for young and old every day at 11 am. The tour starts with the zebras and on Tuesday, 11 February the leopards are on the programme. The other tours can be enquired about at the ticket office or looked up at www.tierpark-chemnitz.de.
In the Oberrabenstein wildlife enclosure, the popular show feedings take place again on weekdays at 11 a.m., namely on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with the wolves and lynxes and on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the mouflons and wild boars.

Winter holiday programme at the zoo - crafts for insects
In the cold season, it is naturally a little quieter around many insects. But as soon as it gets warmer, the first ones become active again. Unfortunately, many insects - especially bees - are finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable nesting aids these days and are therefore often under threat. The winter holiday programme at the zoo will focus on how you can help and what important tasks insects have. The programme starts on Wednesday 12 February or 19 February at 11 a.m. and lasts 1.5 hours. In addition to exciting information, each participant will have the opportunity to make a small insect hotel to take home.

Please register in advance at tierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.detierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.deas the number of participants is limited (max. 10 people / minimum age 6 years). The cost is 1.50 euros per participant plus admission.
