Winners of the environmental award have been announced

On Monday, 3 July at 9.30 a.m., the jury of the Chemnitz Environmental Award will present the awards to the winners in the category grades 5 to 8 at the Waldorf School Chemnitz, Sandstraße 2. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
A total of 668 children and young people submitted 26 projects for this year's Chemnitz Environmental Award. In the day-care centre age category, 436 young Chemnitz residents took part and 130 children in the primary school category. In grades 5 to 8, 67 girls and boys submitted projects, and in grades 9 to 12 and young people up to the age of 20, 35 pupils took part.

The Environmental Award is an educational campaign organised by the City of Chemnitz Environmental Agency. All participating children and young people have the opportunity to use their knowledge, skills and interest in the scientific field or in practical environmental protection and to work on creative and interesting topics to protect our environment with commitment.
