On Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 September, from 10 am to 5 pm on both days, everyone is invited to this year’s Wildgatterfest at the Wildgatter Oberrabenstein, Thomas-Müntzer-Höhe 13. Standard admission prices apply: €4.50, concessions €3.
The festival focuses on local nature, the forest and the animals that live there. Nature lovers of all ages can explore, marvel, get involved and learn interesting facts about the local flora and fauna. The Wildgatterfest offers a wide range of information and hands-on activities. Visitors can get to know nature from different perspectives.
One highlight is the hunting dog demonstrations. Here, visitors can experience the dogs’ impressive skills up close and learn more about their important work. The world of bees also plays a part: a visit to the beekeepers offers fascinating insights into the lives of these hard-working pollinators and their importance to our natural world. Face painting is available for our youngest guests, allowing them to transform themselves into imaginative forest creatures and animals.
Refreshments are also available to keep you going.
The Förderverein Tierparkfreunde Chemnitz e. V. is organising the Wildgatterfest in collaboration with numerous partners and supporters. Among those taking part are Sachsenforst, the Chemnitz District Hunting Association (Kreisjagdverband Chemnitz e. V.), the Chemnitz Fawn Rescue Association (Rehkitzrettung Chemnitz e.
