When the word breaks in the mouth. A film about stuttering

Screening on 30 November, 6.45 pm at the adult education centre in the TIETZ

The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre invites you to a screening of a documentary film about stuttering on 30 November from 6.45 to 8.15 pm in course room 4.07 at the TIETZ. Admission is free.

One per cent of Germans stammer. This communication disorder usually leads to avoidance behaviour, which can result in isolation. Today, many therapy options help stutterers in dealing with their own disorder and in contact with their environment.

The documentary follows four people of different ages who stammer: a child, a teenager, a mother and a pensioner. Their everyday lives are affected to varying degrees by stuttering. This film focuses on their own experiences and the reflections of those around them.
