The author Bruno Johannsson will be presenting his concept of a global solidarity refugee policy, which he developed in his book "Flight - a global challenge", for discussion on Tuesday, 23 October at 6.45 pm at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre in the TIETZ. Admission is free.
68 million people worldwide are on the run, half of whom are under the age of 18. 84 per cent of refugees are taken in by developing countries. UN aid is just a drop in the ocean. Is there a solution to the problem?
The book, which was also developed with a view to climate change, opens up a perspective on how the difficult problems of German and European refugee policy could be alleviated in the medium term and solved in the long term. The author has summarised this concept of a global solidarity refugee policy in an agenda.
The main features of the book and the agenda will be presented and discussed in a lecture and discussion.
