KISS, the contact and information centre for self-help, Stadtmission Chemnitz e.V. and the City of Chemnitz Health Department are jointly opening the exhibition "What makes my life more beautiful" next Monday, 29 May at 1 pm. Anyone interested is cordially invited to the opening on the premises of the City of Chemnitz Health Department, Am Rathaus 8 (1st floor). The exhibition will be opened by Dr Harald Uerlings, Head of the Health Department, and Karla McCabe, Director of Stadtmission Chemnitz e.V..

In co-operation with the Health Department and AOK Plus, an impressive exhibition with a variety of inspiring works has been created as part of the "Psychosocial Self-Help" project. The exhibition is open to all interested visitors until 30 September during the opening hours of the public health department.

The background
More and more people are under psychological pressure, which can lead to illness in the long term. In recent years, there has been a serious increase in the number of illnesses caused by psychological and psychosomatic problems. Against this backdrop, the exhibition aims to encourage people not to lose sight of the beauty and strength of life alongside the many challenges it presents. The pictures in the exhibition show the diversity that makes life more beautiful. This can be a special moment, an impressive moment in nature or a shared experience with a loved and important person. If you take a careful look around you in everyday life, you will find that very personal something that makes your life more beautiful. "It doesn't always have to be something grand and spectacular; it's often the small, subtle moments that touch us, but which we often overlook in the fast pace of our everyday lives. If we manage to become more aware of them again, we can consciously draw on them in difficult times. Then they can become real treasures," says Susann-C. Koch, project manager of the contact and information centre for self-help - KISS.

KISS, the contact and information centre for self-help at Stadtmission Chemnitz e.V., is the contact point for all self-help activities in Chemnitz and the surrounding area. The KISS team informs, motivates, advises, mediates and networks all people interested in self-help and a self-determined life. (Contact: 0371 600 4870)
