What happens during Ramadan?
A look behind the scenes of the Muslim month of fasting - on 14 June, 6.45 to 8.15 pm at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, TIETZ - 4th floor, course room 4.07
Muslims celebrate the fasting month of Ramadan once a year. In 2017, this is between the end of May and the end of June. For non-Muslims, there is something mysterious about this time: how do you actually live Ramadan? What does fasting mean? Why do Muslims do it, what motivates them to do it? And what happens when they break their fast every evening after sunset?
The course at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre next Wednesday, 14 June, from 6.45 to 8.15 p.m., will provide answers to these questions and an insight into a religious world that is lived among us and also here in Chemnitz.
After the course, there will be an opportunity to break the fast together with fellow Muslims.
