What characterises good journalism?
Adult education centre: A practical look and discussion on 28 October, 7 to 8.30 p.m., online event
On Monday, 28 October, from 7 pm, interested parties are invited to an online discussion with journalist Stefan Locke. The discussion will focus on the question of how journalists work and what constitutes good journalistic craftsmanship.

Journalism and the media play an important role in democracy. At the same time, they are losing trust. While some suspect that news is controlled - by the government, political parties or lobbyists - others criticise seemingly detached topics in which they no longer feel represented.
On this evening, journalist and author Stefan Locke would like to discuss the theory of a "crisis of confidence" in journalists, the tools of good journalistic work and the question of what tasks the media have in a democracy. He will provide insights into his daily practice.
Stefan Locke has been working as the parliamentary correspondent for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) for Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic states in Warsaw since April 2024. Previously, he was the correspondent for Saxony and Thuringia at the FAZ for many years.
