What bugs creep and crawl in Chemnitz?

Lecture by the Environmental Agency on 26 November, 5 p.m., Adelsberg Nature Conservation Station

On Tuesday 26 November at 5 pm, the Environmental Agency invites you to a lecture on beetles at the Nature Conservation Station, Adelsbergstraße 192. The speaker will be Rüdiger Peschel, nature conservation assistant in Chemnitz and leisure researcher in the field of entomology, in particular beetles. Admission is free.

Rüdiger Peschel has been researching this group of insects since 2002. Since then, over 1900 beetle species have been recognised in the city of Chemnitz, over 900 species in the Zeisigwald alone.

Pictures of beetles, collection methods and habitats and development areas round off the lecture. It is a multifaceted topic that also presents collection methods and introduces the audience to some of the city's habitats and their biodiversity. The topic of beetle life in the garden is not left out either.
