Weststrasse carriageway renewal between Gustav-Adolf-Strasse and Horst-Menzel-Strasse
Full closure required from 25 June to 8 July 2018
The section of Weststraße between Gustav-Adolfstraße and Horst-Menzel-Straße is being resurfaced. The construction work will be carried out between 25 June and 8 July 2018 with a full closure of Weststraße.
Through traffic, including regular bus services, will be diverted towards the city centre via Limbacher Straße - Horst-Menzel-Straße and towards the country via Franz-Mehring-Straße - Limbacher Straße. For this purpose, one-way traffic will be set up along Horst-Menzel-Straße in the direction of Weststraße and along Franz-Mehring-Straße in the direction of Limbacher Straße.
Access to the EDEKA and Kaßberg-Center car parks will be largely guaranteed. Restrictions are only to be expected on the days when the existing pavement is milled off and the new asphalt is laid.
From 9 to 13 July 2018, work in the peripheral areas and remaining work will be carried out with traffic lights on one side of the road.
The costs for the construction work total approx. 150,000 euros. HSE-Bau GmbH, Glauchau, was commissioned to carry out the work.
