"Welcome to Chemnitz": Brochure informs migrants and foreigners

Welcoming people to our city also means helping them to find their way around the local area, authorities, culture and way of life. This is often not easy - especially if you don't yet speak the language very well.

This is why the Foreigners' Registration Office, Social Welfare Office and many partners have developed the brochure "Welcome to Chemnitz - Information for Foreigners and Migrants". It contains 44 pages of information on topics ranging from registration and residence, training and work to housing. A brief portrait of the city as well as cultural and religious programmes are also included.

The brochure - initially printed in an edition of 300 copies - is currently available in German, Russian and English. It is available free of charge from the Immigration Office, the Social Welfare Office and at the information desks in the Town Hall, Moritzhof and Bürgerhaus Am Wall.
