"Weimarer Bürgerreisen" visits Chemnitz
Invitation to the photo session: 22 May, 10.15 a.m., Bürgerpark Gablenz
On Monday, 22 May at 10.15 a.m., Mayor Ralph Burghart will symbolically inaugurate two apple trees planted as part of WE PARAPOM! in Gablenz Citizens' Park together with representatives of the "Weimar Citizens' Journeys in Europe" interest group. The trees were donated by the interest group and were planted back in April.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to the photo session in Bürgerpark Gablenz (Hans-Ziegler-Straße). In addition to Mayor Ralph Burghart, Weimar's Mayor for Order, Safety and Social Affairs, Ralf Kirsten, and the organiser of the "Weimar Citizens' Journeys", Hartmut Eckhardt, will also address those present.
The "Weimar Citizens' Journeys in Europe" interest group organises annual trips to former, current and future European Capitals of Culture. Weimar was the European Capital of Culture in 1999. The group of around 75 people will be in Chemnitz from Sunday to Tuesday and will visit museums and sights in the city, among other things.
