Walter-Wieland-Hain playground in Einsiedel
Start of construction for partial renovation - felling of two conifers required
This week sees the start of the restoration of the Walter-Wieland-Hain playground in the Einsiedel district of Chemnitz.
In consultation with the local councillor, the Parks Department has decided to replace the equipment similar to the previous one, as it met the requirements of the users.
Firstly, the two blue spruce trees have to be felled as they are located in the fall protection area, which has to be extended in accordance with current standards.
Depending on the seasonal weather conditions, the existing fall protection area will then be enlarged and fitted with a new wooden surround. The fall protection gravel will be renewed.
A new climbing octagon with slide will be installed in the play equipment area.
Completion is scheduled for 30 March 2017.
Liebscher & Partner GmbH from Chemnitz was commissioned with the realisation. The construction costs amount to approx. 28,000 euros.
