Volunteer school bus attendants wanted

The City of Chemnitz Education Authority is looking for school bus attendants for several schools. Interested Chemnitz residents can apply now.

The task is to accompany pupils on the school bus from Monday to Friday in the mornings and afternoons. The job is not available on school holidays, school-free days or when schools are closed.

Volunteer school bus attendants must be of legal age and have a certain level of physical fitness. Further requirements are punctuality and reliability as well as the ability to act confidently in stressful and other difficult situations.

A monthly lump sum of 70 euros is paid for the assignment, and a monthly public transport season ticket for ten months of the school year is also financed.

Before starting work, a briefing is given by the Chemnitz Police Headquarters with a certificate of attendance. Upon request by the education authority, an extended certificate of good conduct must be submitted. Persons born after 31 December 1970 must also provide proof of immunity against measles.
