Voland & Quist literary salon: Michael Bittner reads satires between humour and anger

The satirist and columnist Michael Bittner will be reading satires, columns and stories at Club Atomino in the TIETZ next Tuesday, 25 October at 8 pm. He will be bringing his new book "Das Lachen im Hals" with him. Michael Bittner's first collection of stories brings together tales of youth, intoxication, art and love. Their time is the hours at the end of the festivities - the hours of the last half-empty glasses in the first light of dawn, the hours of disappointed hopes, of revelations that will be regretted. Her protagonists are young people on the run from big decisions: Too smart to go on, too cowardly to simply turn back, they stay where they are.

Michael Bittner is a sceptical observer of everyday life with a sense for the comedy of our life's lies, but at the same time a melancholy moralist who has not made peace with the circumstances.

Voland & Quist Literatursalon is a joint event organised by the Dresden publishing house Voland & Quist in cooperation with Club Atomino and Chemnitz City Library.
Admission costs 7 euros.
