Visitor trail through the fallow deer enclosure

Opening on 16 May, 2 p.m. in the Oberrabenstein game reserve

On Wednesday 16 May at 2 pm, the visitor trail through the fallow deer enclosure, which has been built in recent months, will be opened at the Oberrabenstein Wildlife Park in the presence of representatives of the Friends of the Chemnitz Zoo Association and employees of the wildlife park.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited.

This will give visitors the opportunity to walk through the fallow deer enclosure and observe the animals without a partition.

The path is 300 metres long and only crosses part of the enclosure, giving the animals enough space to retreat. Seventeen fallow deer currently live in the enclosure.

However, in the interests of the animals, visitors are asked to follow the rules, i.e. not to leave the path, not to feed, touch or tease the animals, not to smoke in the enclosure and not to take dogs into the enclosure.

The visitor trail is a project of the Friends' Association, which covered the material costs for the construction of the trail. The construction of the trail was undertaken by the employees of the wildlife enclosure themselves with the support of Chemnitz Zoo.
