Today, Monday 6 October at 11 a.m., four members of the Jewish Community of Łódź will be received by Cornelia Siegel, Head of European and International Relations, Protocol of the City of Chemnitz, in the foyer of the City Hall.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
The four guests from the Jewish Community of Łódź will be visiting the twin city of Chemnitz from 5 to 8 October. They were invited by the Jewish Community of Chemnitz after its Chairwoman Dr Ruth Röcher travelled to the Polish twin city in 2024 as part of a municipal commemoration event.
The visit to Chemnitz will now take place as part of the Chemnitz Feast of Tabernacles Sukkot XXL. From 5 to 12 October, two leaf huts will be erected in the Stadthallenpark to celebrate the Jewish festival of Sukkot.
