Visit by a school delegation from Japan

City of Chemnitz presents activities of the European Mobility Week

Students aged 16 to 17 from the girls' school "Yokohama Jogakuin High School" will visit the city of Chemnitz on 12 July as part of an educational trip. The two-week stay in Germany with several stops (including an energy self-sufficient bioenergy village) is intended to promote intercultural exchange as well as environmental education.

Commission to promote innovative, sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions.
Afterwards, the city's EU Coordinator, Pia Sachs, will take the pupils on a guided tour of the town hall. The excursion is organised by the Frankfurt-based tour operator JTB Germany GmbH, which specialises in trips to and from Japan.
