VHS offers counselling course for parents with disabilities
The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is offering a course together with the advice centre of the Supplementary Independent Participation Advice Service (EUTB), where parents with disabilities can obtain advice and information. This will take place on Thursday, 19 September, 5 to 6.30 pm, in room 4.07 of the TIETZ. Participation is free of charge.
The aim of the event is to provide an overview of suitable services and counselling offers and to enable an exchange of experiences. A sustainable form of support, e.g. as a community of interest for Chemnitz and the surrounding area, can be developed from the event.
This course is dedicated in particular to the topic of "Parenting with a disability". Parents who have a disability encounter various difficulties in everyday family life. So far, there has been little attention paid to this special situation and challenge in Saxony.
