Vaccinations for children on Saturday by appointment by telephone

Hotline is open on Thursday and Friday

On Saturday, 18 December, the Chemnitz public health department is offering coronavirus vaccinations for children aged 5 to 12 in collaboration with the German Red Cross. Appointments can be made via a telephone hotline. In order to ensure that parents and children receive adequate counselling and that the process runs smoothly, appointments are made directly by the health department staff.

The hotline will be open on Thursday and Friday, 16 and 17 December. Interested parties can call 0371 4885302 on Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm and Friday from 8 am to 12 pm to make an appointment for the coming Saturday at the city's health department. If all appointments are booked, this will be announced there accordingly.

It is not possible to vaccinate children without an appointment next Saturday.

The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) and the Saxon Vaccination Commission (SIKO) recommend the coronavirus vaccination for children aged 5 and over with certain pre-existing conditions and those who have contact with people at risk. However, all other children can also be vaccinated if there is agreement between parents and doctor.
