Vaccination centre in Chemnitz closes
Site on Wilhelm-Raabe-Straße completes work
Today, the Chemnitz vaccination centre on Wilhelm-Raabe-Straße closes after around four months.
Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky bid farewell to the employees of the Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASR) and the German Red Cross (DRK) and paid tribute to their efforts to combat the pandemic over the past few months.
Vaccinations have been carried out daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the former Netto store since 1 December 2021.
During this time, a total of around 30,000 vaccinations were administered to Chemnitz residents, as well as citizens from the surrounding area, in initially two and later three vaccination lines.
Vaccinations against the coronavirus are still possible at the site at Innere Klosterstraße 1, at Chemnitz Hospital and at numerous mobile sites. An overview can be found at www.chemnitz.de/coronavirus
