Urgent tree felling required
A tree has to be felled at the Robert-Siewert-Straße/Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße car park for traffic safety reasons. During the ongoing tree inspections, it was determined that the copper beech requires immediate action.
The stability of this tree is severely impaired by an aggressive, root-borne fungus. This is the giant spore fungus, which causes intensive white rot in the root area. The giant spore is a weak parasite that colonises damaged, weakened or dying roots of older trees. The rot it causes leads to a considerable impairment of traffic safety, so that the additional felling measure must be carried out immediately.
