Ukraine - Hope: Art exhibition at two locations
Exhibition openings on 29 September, 5 pm at the Museum für Naturkunde, and on 30 September, 6 pm at Kraftwerk e. V.
On Thursday, 29 September and Friday, 30 September, interested parties are invited to the opening of an exhibition of works by Ukrainian artists who had to flee the war and have found a home in Chemnitz. The exhibitions, organised by the associations UkrOp e. V. and Beseder e. V., show the feelings that the young and adult people want to work through and in turn trigger in the viewers.
"Children paint in the midst of war"

The works of 30 Ukrainian children - witnesses and victims of the war - exhibited at the Museum of Natural History convey a diverse mixture of the worries and hopes that arose during the tragic events in their lives.
It was a logistical feat to bring the 20 children's pictures and war artefacts from the frontline and liberated villages in Ukraine to Chemnitz.
The exhibition will be on display until 2 November.
Note: At the opening of the exhibition, Etelka Kobuß, Migration Officer of the City of Chemnitz, will present the 30 or so children with a certificate and a small gift.
"Ukraine-Hope 2" - painting, graphics, decorative art
Exhibition opening on 30 September, 6 p.m. at Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstraße 36
"Hope never dies" is the hopeful statement of the artists participating in the second "Ukraine-Hoffnung" exhibition, which goes far beyond the timeframe of the Intercultural Weeks. They are exhibiting their incisive and emotionally charged works on Europe's most controversial topic at the moment. Paintings, graphics, decorative art, photography and posters reflect the thoughts and statements of the artists.
The exhibition runs until 31 November.
