On 11 February 2022 - the European Day of the Emergency Call - the professional fire brigade of the city of Chemnitz will once again take part in the "Twitter storm" of the German professional fire brigades.

Under #Chemnitz112, the Chemnitz fire brigade will be tweeting from 8 am to 8 pm.
There will be interesting facts about the emergency call 112 and the operations that take place on this day. The current deployment figures from the past year will be published. Furthermore, around 50 questions will be answered that were asked in a call on Instagram at the end of 2021.
In addition, the youth fire brigade, volunteering with the volunteer fire brigade and the current vacancy for fire officer candidates will also be advertised.

Under #112live, the public will get a first-hand insight into the work of all the fire services involved in the campaign day, with operations, training and everyday tasks in the stations.

The campaign is organised by the network of press spokespersons of the German professional fire services in order to promote the Europe-wide and free emergency number and its life-saving importance. The aim is also to consciously promote greater recognition and understanding for the helpers behind this emergency number.
