TUYA Klangwerk at the June music café in the power station
The next edition of the music café "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" will take place on Thursday, 6 June from 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre in the building at Kaßbergstraße 36.
This time, host Nancy Gibson, Head of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, welcomes the duo "TUYA Klangwerk", who mainly use instruments that were already an integral part of the presentation of music in Mozart's time. Petr Krupa with his viola and violin and Mathis Stendike with various wind instruments (flute, horn) and percussion instruments will delight the guests of the music café with their performances. They will draw on prehistoric musical styles and give them a contemporary sound.
The sound artists are inspired by other art forms to improvise individually and together, always in dialogue with each other and with their instruments. The result is musical soundscapes of great intensity and the guests of the event can look forward to extraordinary music.
Of course, as the organisers point out, guests are also invited to join in the music-making. With coffee and cake, it will be an exciting and entertaining afternoon. Admission is €5 per person including coffee and cake.
Wheelchair users please use the signposted side entrance.
