On Wednesday 10 October at 6.45 pm, a lecture entitled "Turkey today - how Erdogan secures his power" will take place at the adult education centre in the TIETZ, room 4.07. Admission is free. Admission is free of charge.
The lecture by Chemnitz political scientist Florian Kistner will examine the current situation in Turkey. Using a political science model, he will explain the methods the Turkish president is using to stabilise his regime and whether these are promising strategies.
For a few years now, Turkey has been omnipresent in the media: whether it is about the restriction of freedom, the military coup, corruption or the war against the Kurds. Almost every day we receive new news about how Erdogan is expanding his power.
