Trees and shrubs on the Südring are pruned
Pruning of greenery between Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße and Markersdorfer Straße along the tram line
Between 20 and 30 October 2021, pruning measures will be carried out on trees and shrubs along the tram line on Südring between Wladimir-Sagorski-Straße and Markersdorfer Straße. The measures are necessary to enable safe railway operations and will be carried out in coordination with CVAG.
Smaller trees and bushes (natural regeneration) along the railway line will be removed and chopped and all tension wire masts will be cleared. Overhanging branches will also be removed in the area of overhead lines. In the event of wet snow or rain, this would sink to such an extent that there could be a risk of fire due to spark transmission.
Without exception, all upcoming work is urgent and serves to maintain or restore road safety.
All maintenance measures within the meaning of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under the BNatSchG or the SächsNatSchG.
