Tree planting on Mühlenstraße completed
This week, new trees were planted on the landward carriageway of Mühlenstraße between Herrmannstraße and Elisenstraße. A total of 13 new trees were planted there.
An approx. 2.50 metre wide planting strip was created for the tree planting. The necessary civil engineering work was started in September and young trees of the Robinia unifolia (street acacia) variety were planted after completion.
The total costs for the civil engineering preparation in Mühlenstraße and the tree planting totalled around 100,000 euros. This measure was subsidised by 50 percent as part of the "Active city and district centres" funding programme.
HSE-Bau GmbH from Glauchau was commissioned with the civil engineering work. The tree planting was carried out by Reino GmbH from Geithain.
