Tree maintenance work in the urban area - summer 2013 (III. quarter)
The ongoing tree inspections and the results of the current expert report have shown that tree maintenance work (pruning and felling) must be carried out on the trees on the attached list for reasons of road safety in the city of Chemnitz.
Without exception, all the work to be carried out is urgent and serves to maintain or restore road safety. The felling and pruning measures on the list will only be carried out in the third quarter of 2013; all tree maintenance measures in the sense of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under §39 BNatSchG or §25 SächsNatSchg.
Please refer to the attachment for the specific felling and pruning measures. Wherever space permits, the City of Chemnitz/Green Spaces Office will arrange for replanting.
