Tree felling work in the north and south-west urban area
Trees are expected to be felled in the north and south-west urban areas from week 50.
During the ongoing tree inspections, damage to the trees has been identified that is leading to their loss of stability or stability, i.e. the trees in question are in danger of breaking off or falling over. There is an urgent need for action on the trees listed in the appendix.
Storm "Ignatz" caused extensive damage to the tree population at the end of October 2021. Serious damage has already been repaired. Nevertheless, the damage is still being repaired. The number of felling operations may therefore increase.
Without exception, all pending work is urgent measures that serve to maintain or establish road safety.
All measures for the maintenance of trees and shrubs in terms of the duty to ensure traffic safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under Section 39 BNatSchG or Section 25 SächsNatSchG.
The wood from the felled trees becomes the property of the company commissioned with the tree felling.
