From October 2025 to February 2026, tree felling work will be carried out in the city areas of Chemnitz North and South. During the ongoing tree inspections, damage to the trees has been identified that is leading to their loss of stability or stability, i.e. the trees in question are at risk of breaking off or falling over. There is an urgent need for action on the trees listed in the appendix.
Without exception, all of the work to be carried out is urgent and serves to maintain or restore road safety. All tree maintenance measures in terms of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible.
The wood from the felled trees becomes the property of the companies commissioned with the tree felling. Replacement planting is planned.
