Tree felling on Senefelder Straße
The ongoing tree inspections have revealed that the tree on Senefelder Strasse, opposite house number 25, a Krim lime tree, is in urgent need of action.
The tree's stability is severely impaired. The reason for this is an aggressive, root-borne fungus. It is the blight fungus, which causes intensive white rot in the root area and in the base of the trunk. The fungus is also capable of causing mould rot. This rot leads to a considerable impairment of the tree's traffic safety.
The tree must be felled immediately. Whether a replacement can be planted will be examined.
