Tree felling on Meinersdorfer Straße
Ongoing tree inspections have revealed that there is an immediate need for action on an oak tree on Meinersdorfer Straße.
It has been proven that this tree is infested with the bulging white fungus. This has already led to advanced trunk rot (white rot) down to the rootstock. This was confirmed by the Parks Department and an external expert.
The tree is no longer safe to break in the lower trunk area as a result of the progressive trunk rot. The tree, which characterises the local landscape, can no longer be preserved due to the advanced damage in the trunk base area and rootstock.
This additional felling measure must be carried out immediately.
