Tree felling on Irkutsk Street

Ongoing tree inspections have revealed that there is a need for action on a Canadian poplar tree on Irkutsk Street between houses 277 and 279. This additional felling measure will be carried out in the next few days for reasons of road safety.

This Canadian poplar is a specimen that has recently suffered several green branch failures, recently for the first time in the heavy branch area. The reasons for this tree failure are drought and the wood biology of this short-lived poplar species, which is generally prone to branch breakage from an age of 30 years.

These green branch failures are unpredictable, but once individual specimens of trees with this damage symptom have become conspicuous, the probability of recurrence is very high. In the case of trees that are subject to the public safety obligation, felling is then urgently recommended.
