Tree felling on Fabrikstraße
Three street trees (chestnut trees) have to be felled for the planned replacement construction of the retaining wall to the Chemnitz along Fabrikstraße between the pedestrian bridge "An der Markthalle" and the Hartmannstraße bridge.
The felling work will be carried out by 28 February and has been agreed with the nature conservation authority and the Parks Department; a felling permit has been issued.
The felling licence is accompanied by a requirement in accordance with the tree protection statutes. Six large-crowned deciduous trees must be replanted or a compensation payment made as a replacement.
