Tree felling in the street
From the beginning of August, trees will have to be felled in the street and in the green areas.
During the ongoing tree inspections, an external, independent tree surveyor determined that the trees listed below require immediate action:
- Birch (BNr. 900), Am alten Weinberg
- two ash trees (BNr. 4400, 9500), Rottluffer Straße
- Lime tree (BNo. 900), Ammonstraße
- Maple (No. 300), Hechlerstraße
- Red oak (BNo. 4300), Mittweidaer Straße
Without exception, all of the upcoming works are urgent measures that serve to maintain or establish road safety. These are legally permissible in terms of the duty to ensure road safety and do not constitute an offence under Section 39 BNatSchG or Section 25 SächsNatSchG.
The wood from the felled trees becomes the property of the company commissioned to fell the trees.
