Tree felling at the Klaffenbacher Straße bank retaining wall
Regular structural inspections are carried out on the existing bank retaining wall to the Würschnitz between Klaffenbacher Straße 61 and Würschnitztalstraße 1.
It was found that the retaining wall has major damage that affects its stability. For this reason, the wall has already undergone extensive recalculations and investigations. This revealed that it is not sufficiently dimensioned for the current traffic loads.
A replacement construction of the bank retaining wall is currently being planned. As a preparatory measure, a tree (DU 0.80 m) is to be felled, which is located directly next to the bank retaining wall in the water's edge strip. The tree cannot be preserved during the replacement construction.
The upcoming felling is to take place in the period from next week to the week after next (from week 50 to 51).
