Tree felling and green cuttings on Fraunhofer Strasse

Preparations for the development of the Technology Campus South

This week, green cuttings and tree felling work will begin on Fraunhoferstrasse to clear the way for the development of the technology and research-oriented "Technology Campus South" industrial estate. The work is being carried out by the municipal building yard and should be completed by the end of February 2019.

An assessment of whether the area is used as a roosting site by magpies and crows has been carried out by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority.

In December 2015, the city council adopted the bylaws for development plan no. 09/06 "Technologie-Campus Süd". Part of the associated green development plan is the conversion of around three hectares of woodland into traffic and special area land.

On 24 October 2018, the city council approved the construction of "Planstrasse C", the last access road to be built in the area next year.
