Tree donation at Chemnitzer Wall

Company gets involved in "Be Green Day" - Invitation to the photo session on site for Thursday, 13 June, 9 a.m.

One of the ornamental cherries planted in the Chemnitz rampart area is receiving strong financial support to help it continue to grow and flourish. The sponsor is arvato AG, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, which is also active in Chemnitz. The tree donation in Chemnitz is part of the "Be Green Day" campaign, in which the company has been involved for years.

Representatives of the media are hereby invited to the symbolic handover of the tree, including the ground-breaking ceremony, on Thursday, 13 June at 9 a.m. for a photo session on site at the rampart on Johannisplatz in Chemnitz city centre.
Andreas Süßenbach, site manager of arvato in Chemnitz, will symbolically realise the "Be Green Day" tree campaign here.

The arvato branch in Chemnitz approached the city's green spaces department with the idea and the proposal for participation. A joint decision was made on the spot to plant an ornamental cherry. The planting will be symbolically completed on 11 June, as the planting period is already over. For its commitment to a good and green cause in Chemnitz, arvato is donating 1,000 euros to the Chemnitz city treasury. In return, a small brass sign will be placed in the area of the future Bertelsmann cherry tree with information about the donor and the cause.
