Tree care work in December 2014 and January 2015
Tree maintenance work involving pruning and felling will have to be carried out in the city of Chemnitz in the months of December 2014 and January 2015 - this is the result of ongoing tree inspections. The Parks Department would like to point out that all of the upcoming work is, without exception, urgent measures that serve to maintain or establish road safety.
The work will be carried out in December 2014 and January 2015. All woodland maintenance measures in terms of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under §39 BNatSchG or §25 SächsNatSchg.
Wherever space permits, the Parks Department will arrange for replanting. Detailed information on the reasons for felling and pruning measures can be found in the two overviews (appendix).
