Tree care work in December
Tree maintenance work involving pruning and felling will have to be carried out in the city of Chemnitz in December - this is the result of the ongoing tree inspections. The Parks Department would like to point out that all of the upcoming work is, without exception, urgent measures that serve to maintain or establish road safety.
The work will only be carried out in December. All tree maintenance measures within the meaning of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under §39 BNatSchG or §25 SächsNatSchg.
Wherever space permits, the Parks Department will arrange for replanting. Detailed information on the reasons for felling and pruning measures can be found in the two overviews (appendix).
