Tree care measures in the city of Chemnitz in autumn and winter (IV quarter 2012)
The ongoing tree inspections and the results of the current expert report have shown that tree maintenance work (pruning and felling) must be carried out on the trees on the attached list for reasons of road safety.
Without exception, all of the work to be carried out is urgent and serves to maintain or establish road safety.
All tree maintenance measures in the sense of the duty to ensure traffic safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under §39 BNatSchG or §25 SächsNatSchg.
The felling and pruning measures, according to the attached list, will only be carried out in the fourth quarter of 2012. Wherever space permits, the Parks Department will arrange for replanting.
