On Monday 5 October, from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm, family carers and anyone else interested are invited to attend a dementia support training session at the Moritzhof Community and Administrative Centre, Bahnhofstraße 53. The specific venue will be announced at the reception desk on the day of the event.

The dementia training course for family carers provides basic knowledge about dementia, its progression and the effects on the behaviour and daily lives of those affected. Family carers learn to better understand changes and challenging situations and to respond appropriately. They also receive practical tips on communication and interacting with people with dementia.
The training aims to help reduce uncertainty and reservations, and to give family carers greater confidence in their day-to-day lives. This enables them to provide better support to the person with dementia, whilst at the same time better assessing and managing their own stress.
