Trainers wanted for Sports Sunday

The City of Chemnitz Health Department is looking for exercise instructors for the project "Chemnitz gets moving - Open Sports Sunday for Families".

The project offers children and young people a regular and free sports and exercise programme that is professionally instructed and supervised. On Sunday mornings, free hall time and green spaces are used to create a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. The aim is to develop children's health and life skills and promote active behaviour. It also aims to raise health awareness among families and facilitate the transition to regular exercise programmes, e.g. in sports clubs.

Applicants should either be working or training as a physiotherapist or be studying for a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of sports science or comparable disciplines. In addition to an affinity for children's sports as well as reliability and flexibility, creativity and professional competence in the conception and implementation of sports programmes should also be present. Experience in working with children and young people is desirable. The submission of an extended certificate of good conduct is mandatory.

On offer is a fee as an exercise instructor, creative freedom and the opportunity to contribute your own ideas as well as working in an interdisciplinary team from the health department, university, city sports association and sports clubs. Enquiries can be sent by email to sportsonntag(at)stadt-chemnitz.de or by telephone on 0371 488-5384.
