Traffic restrictions in the city centre on Sunday
Sports United on 10 September - closures and diversions necessary
On Sunday, 10 September, C3 Chemnitzer Veranstaltungszentren is organising the Sports United festival. This year, the theatre square will be used as the event area. For this reason, the following traffic restrictions are necessary on this day:
Karl-Liebknecht-Straße between Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße and Georgstraße and Richard-Tauber-Straße will be fully closed from 8 am to 8 pm.
The Straße der Nationen will be closed between Georgstraße and Brückenstraße from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the city centre.
The stopping restrictions set up along the event area for safety reasons and the instructions of the stewards must be observed.
The event will be secured by the Chemnitz Police Department with operational measures.
It is possible to bypass the traffic closure via Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Brückenstraße. All local residents and businesses will be informed by the organiser about access to the city centre.
Participants and visitors to the event are requested to use the public car parks and buildings as well as public transport. CVAG will announce any changes to public transport services due to the traffic closures separately at www.cvag.de .
