Traffic restrictions for the 21st Chemnitz City Festival from 28 - 30 August 2015
In connection with the city festival, there will be traffic restrictions in the city centre from 27 August 2015, 8 am to 31 August 2015, 4 pm.
Closures
Full closure from Thursday, 27 August 2015, 8 am
- Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße
- Theaterstraße from Hartmannstraße to Brückenstraße
Closures for through traffic with residents free from Thursday, 27 August 2015, 8 a.m.
- Mühlenstraße between Stadtbad and Brückenstr. (access to Stadtbad and Stumpf Brückenstr. free)
- Straße der Nationen towards the city centre from Carolastraße
stationary traffic (securing construction work, diversion traffic)
Wednesday, 26 August 2015, from 12 noon
- Parking areas Brückenstr. at Rondell level (car park in front of the State Office for Taxation and Finance) incl. Rondell
Thursday, 27 August 2015, from 6 a.m.
- Parking areas Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße
- Centre Mühlenstraße between Brückenstraße and Stadtbad
- Promenadenstraße between Erich-Schmidt-Straße and Hartmannstraße
- Hartmannstraße between Am alten Bad and Theaterstraße (towards the underground car park)
- Schloßstraße
Additional event area
This year too, the event areas will be extended to include Theaterstraße between Webergasse and Hartmannstraße. Access to the Roter Turm underground car park/ Rathaus-Passagen multi-storey car park remains guaranteed. In this context, please note the changed traffic routing on Theaterstraße/Hartmannstraße.
Delivery traffic
Delivery traffic in the Brückenstraße (terminal) and Straße der Nationen area will be guaranteed until 8 a.m. on Friday, 28 August 2015.
Stump Brückenstraße
The entrance for residents coming from Mühlenstraße into Stumpf Brückenstraße will be guaranteed. Residents please note that the exit will be via "Janssenbrücke" - Schloßstraße.
